This is one of the absolute<br \/>\neasiest ways to start \u201cliving green\u201d, as these are huge energy savers.<br \/>\nI just used their Home Depot\u2019s handy little calculator (click on the &quot;Energy Efficient&quot; tab) to find that<br \/>\nchanging 10 bulbs from incandescent to CFLs will save $34\/year and<br \/>\nsave $453 worth of energy over the lifetime of the bulb. These save use<br \/>\n75% less electricity and last 10x longer. AND they even come in a nice<br \/>\nsoft white shade that\u2019s nothing like the blaring fluorescent you might<br \/>\nbe imagining.
